My January Journal Page

januaryjournalpage.jpg

I just finished my January journal page today. I filled in my “path” with mauve colored pearls, representing the “pearls of wisdom” I’ve learned along the way. The photo doesn’t show it very clearly but the path has led me to a cache of beautiful multi-colored jewels. This symbolizes the treasure that lies inside each one of us.

My idea for my February page is of 2 hearts side by side, nourishing each other with a silver river that flows in a circle from one heart to the other and back again. Time to get my fabric prepared!

It was beautiful before but the pearls and the “treasure” make it sparkle!

  2. Arline says:

Oh yes! I just love the whole idea behind this one. It’s great.

  3. You seem to have picked up more pearls along the way than I have! I keep losing the ones I learn and have to get them all over again and again! Wonderful page.

Beautiful design and colors…I love hearing the “story” behind the piece!

  5. Robin says:

This is a very special piece… it’s easy to relate to it even without the story. I makes me feel good to look at it!

Also, I must compliment you on your photography!!! I’ve found it very difficult to photograph crystals and pearls, as they reflect light and “white out.” Would you be willing to share how you did it?

    Blessings,
    Robin

  6. This turned out wonderfully, Karen! I especially love all those lettered “pebbles” you made for it.

Very beautiful – both the beading and meaning. It is full of positivity – I like that.

    Thanks Arline!

Yes, I know what you mean, Timaree. Those pearls are slippery and can fall through our grasp sometimes. But we always manage to find them. 😉

    Thanks Bobbi!

Thanks Robin, I would love to share my photography adventures.

Thanks Kathy, I’m glad that I was able to incorporate my love of polymer clay into my piece.

Thanks Coral-seas, I try to look at things in a positive way. Life is way too short to look at things negatively.

    Thank you all!

This is so soothing and powerful – a difficult combo to marry at times but you did it flawlessly.

Just catching up on all the wonderful beading that is going on. I looked at your October page and then consider the other pages. You know what that gremlin is losing badly lol.
